Perfect Audience is a retargeting platform for mobile, web, and Facebook. From the moment you have placed the tracking tag from Perfect Audience on your site, you’re ready to create unlimited audiences within the platform of Perfect Audience. You can use the method ‘Regular expression’ to add visitors to your audience when the URL matches that regular expression.
In the below screenshot you see audience is based on the URL of the page. Perfect Audience works with matching against the complete URL of the site (including the domain). This differs from most other platforms, but gives you flexibility also to segment on the domain or subdomain.
With regular expressions you can create segments you can’t achieve with the other options. We’ll show you 3 useful examples.
Page ends on .htm or .html
If your goal is to target visitors of pagina ending on .htm or .html, you can create 2 separate audiences. The first audience will end on .htm, the second audience will end on .html. As you want to combine these users in 1 audience, you can use the following regular expression in Perfect Audience:
Page contains ‘samsung’, ‘apple’ or ‘sony’
Similiar with the previous example, you can create separate audiences for every single brandname. Easier and more flexible is to create one audience with the following regex:
Productpage with different levels
Sometimes the productpage is not easy to distinguish and the format of the URL differs. For example when the productpage can be both http://www.example.com/category/productx.html or http://www.example.com/category/subcategory/productx.html. The following regular expression will catch all visitors on a page ending with .html and containing 1 or 2 directories.
Above examples show the flexibility of regular expressions in Perfect Audience. Do you need a custom regular expression? We can create your regular expression within 1 hour.
